Showing your events on your own site
Your events already exist: all that is missing is telling your site where to show them. You do it with shortcodes — a word in square brackets that you type into a page, and that shows something in its place.
The three you will almost always want
| Shortcode | What it shows |
|---|---|
[mybo_events] | The list of upcoming shows. This is your «What’s on» page. |
[mybo_event_buy_form] | The buying form, inside a show’s own page. |
[mybo_auth] | Sign-in and registration, for people who want to find their tickets again. |
There are seventy more, for building a show page piece by piece: the date, the poster, the performers, the countdown, the running time. The full list, with an example for each, lives in the panel under Configuration → Shortcodes.
How it looks is up to you
Colours, type, spacing and the number of columns on every public page are set from MyBoxOffice → Customise, with a preview that updates as you go. You set them separately for desktop, tablet and phone, so a table that sits comfortably on a big screen can become a single column on a handset.
The plugin needs neither your theme nor a page builder: it brings everything it needs with it. Change theme and your selling pages stay exactly as they were.
