Taking payments online
MyBoxOffice never holds your money and takes no percentage: the payment goes from your customer straight into your account, through whichever provider you choose. The plugin is the till, not the bank.
You connect them under MyBoxOffice → Configuration → Payments.
What you can connect
Card payments
The one most people use. Open an account with the provider, copy the two keys it gives you and paste them here.
PayPal
People who have it prefer it, because they don’t have to type a card number.
Satispay
A local method, popular in Italy with people buying on their phone.
Pay at the door
No money online: they book, they pay on the way in. Useful on its own for walking through the whole flow without spending anything.
Test keys and real keys
Every provider gives you two pairs: test keys, for pretending to buy, and live keys, which move real money. Do your first run on the test pair and switch only once everything works.
Careful: they look alike. Before you open sales, buy a real one-euro ticket and check it lands in your account.
When a payment fails
The order stays «unpaid» and the seats are not held: nobody walks off with a seat they haven’t paid for. Your customer sees a page that says so, and can try again.
